Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is aware that speculation suggests his job prospects hang on tonight's result against Marseille.
Jurgen Klinsmann is the latest name in the frame to replace him should the Reds' American co- owners decide on a change.
Tom Hicks and George Gillett meet the Spaniard next week for talks that will become a little more than clear-the-air should Liverpool be staring at a place in the UEFA Cup - or, indeed, total Euro oblivion.
"I am not under any extra pressure," he said. "We are in a difficult position in the group but we know how to play under this pressure. We have done it in the Champions League, in the FA Cup. It can be difficult but, if you want to win trophies, you have to play finals and this game is another final for us. We know we must win. We could go through with a draw but the aim is to win. Nothing has changed for us. We know we must do against Marseille what we have achieved in FA Cup and Champions League finals."
Gillett is expected at tonight's game, before an Anfield meeting with Hicks and Benitez after the Premier League visit of Manchester United on Sunday.
"It is an important week for us but I have been hearing it is an important week for us all season," said the Liverpool manager.
