Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez admits he doesn't understand why Tottenham sacked fellow Spaniard Juande Ramos.

Before yesterday's defeat, Benitez said: "I said before that they had good enough players to be higher in the table. They also finished fifth three or four years ago so they have always had potential. This year they have signed good players with quality. But there is a new manager there now so all the players want to impress.

"I think everybody was surprised about it, I didn't understand it."
