Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is moving for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez.
AS says Benitez sees Martinez as a replacement for the unsettled Momo Sissoko and has had the Spain U21 international scouted several times this season.
Martinez, who stands at 1.90m, is contracted to Bilbao until 2012 and carries a buyout clause of £16 million.
