Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has explained why he chose to sell Gabriel Paletta to Boca Juniors last week.

The Argentine moved to Boca for around £2 million and Benitez said: "There is no point considering what I would have done had I known about the injuries, but Paletta needed to be playing so it is best that he has gone to Boca."
