Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is confident a deal can be struck for Javier Mascherano this week.
He told liverpoolfc.tv: "Mascherano is our player until the end of the season. It's not a problem if we finish the deal or not. Everything is progressing and I think that it will be done in a few days.
"We have everything ready, so I think it will be sorted."
