Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez was delighted to give his first-choice strike-pairing of Robbie Keane and Fernando Torres 45 minutes in yesterday's 4-0 friendly victory over Rangers.

Benitez said: "Both players showed really good movement but the understanding was also good between them and Steven Gerrard, as well as Yossi Benayoun and Dirk Kuyt cutting inside.

"We had five offensive players who showed they were very clever and have quality."

He also told liverpoolfc.tv: "Robbie has settled in well.

"He is a clever player and has been working very hard. He is happy here and hopefully we will see a lot of good movement and goals from him.

"We have some leaders in the team and little by little each one will have his own position."
