Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez was delighted to see Dirk Kuyt break his Premiership scoring drought at Manchester City.

"He has scored a lot of goals in the Champions League and is one of our key players," Benitez said. "He is very strong mentally and his work rate is amazing. That is why supporters love him.

"Everyone here has a good relationship with Kuyt, you could see that when he scored. We were all waiting for that goal."
