Liverpool boss Benitez convinces family about Italy ahead of Juventus move

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is ready to accept a move to Juventus.

The Sunday Times says the Serie A club have agreed in principle a four-year contract for the Spaniard and believe Liverpool will agree to a compensation package.

Sources close to Benitez say he has convinced his family to leave England for Italy. While he has consented to work with an Italian director of football at Juve, he has asked to take assistant Mauricio Pellegrino and fitness coach Paco De Miguel with him from Anfield.

There will also be a place on his new staff for West Ham United's Italian fitness coach Antonio Pintus and Liverpool scout Eduardo Macia. Transfer funds will be made available to Benitez.

For their part, Liverpool insist they haven't heard from Juventus. New chairman Martin Broughton said: "Benitez's position is unchanged. He is contracted to the club, we want him to stay."
