Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has challenged Yossi Benayoun and Jermaine Pennant to prove their worth.

Both wingers have lost their first team place to Dutch youngster Ryan Babel in recent weeks and Benitez told liverpoolfc.tv: "I think Babel showed the quality and potential he has on Sunday. Sometimes we see part of his qualities, but the other day it was good to see him playing really well through the whole match consistently.

"Clearly when we play 4-2-3-1, the wingers must get into the box. They must beat players and create something in attack. I am also happy with Kuyt because he is a striker playing slightly out of position. Players like Benayoun and Jermaine now need to push and be ready."
