Liverpool boss accuses Valencia of diving
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez felt that Antonio Valencia dived to win Manchester United the penalty from which Wayne Rooney levelled, in the 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford.
"When you see the replay it is suspicious how he went to the ground,' he said.
Asked whether he thought Valencia had dived Benitez said: "From the replay I think so.
"It is not clear but the way he fell down .... is strange.
"It made a big difference. We were playing well and had confidence and then one situation changed everything."
On the game overall, he said: "It was very tight, they did not have too many chances, and neither did we.
"With two top sides, it is always the little things which are the difference, and they were the better in these.
"After the goal, I always said it is about how you can control the game, and we could not, as we conceded early.
"In the second half, you could see Manchester United are a good team, but they did not have too many options and with a bit of luck, it could have been a draw."

accused..... what a stupid remark, tribal is going for the limit... tha lad dove and when you say that was a dive its not an accusation, however it was to be expected and thats why Javi gets the stick, he was stupid to touch Valencia when he shuld have known that he would dive.... this is like accusing tribal of being full of it, how can that be an accusation when they are!!!
The old Fergie has been around too long, he put the pressure on the Refs during the week, whinging as he does about Gerrard.. Webb is his "boy" and it showed. I'm not saying Man U didn't deserve to win, but Webb was terrible... I'm sure he's on Fergie's xmas card list..!! Blatant favouritism..!!
