Liverpool boost with Cobra Energy

Liverpool have agreed a regional sponsorship deal with Cobra Energy Drink, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The 18-time English champions will begin a partnership with the beverage brand in Myanmar in time for the 2015/16 Premier League season.

Liverpool players will appear in a nationwide TV advertising campaign for Cobra, while there will also be opportunities for consumers to win Liverpool-branded merchandise.

Cobra will also be producing Liverpool-branded bottles. No financial terms were released.

"Liverpool Football Club is one of the most popular football clubs in Myanmar, which is very much a nation of football fanatics," said Billy Hogan, the Liverpool chief commercial officer. "We're really excited to partner with Cobra Energy Drink to bring our fans in Myanmar closer to the club."

Lyka Frontuna, the senior country brand manager for Myanmar at Cobra Energy Drinks, added: "We feel the partnership is a perfect match for us as we share the values of Liverpool FC.

"Liverpool FC is one of the largest global brands and this exclusive partnership demonstrates our commitment to help quench the thirst of football fans in Myanmar by providing new opportunities for fans to watch Barclays Premier League games involving Liverpool, for example."
