Liverpool are looking to reward Emre Can with a new and improved contract.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Reds have opened talks with Can's representatives over a fresh four-year deal.
The 22-year-old Germany international, who is Joachim Low's Euro2016 squad, impressed under Jurgen Klopp after being given a chance to flourish in central midfield last season.
Can has two years to go on the four-year deal he signed when arriving from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2014 but Liverpool are looking to extend until 2020.
