Liverpool have reaffirmed the Egyptian FA's claim that their attacker Mohamed Salah could still feature at the upcoming World Cup.
The Egyptian fans feared the worst when Salah was forced to leave the pitch in the Champions League final against Real Madrid following a foul by Sergio Ramos.
"Mohamed Salah could feature at the World Cup, with the Egyptian FA hopeful the lay-off will not exceed three weeks," said the club's statement.
"The forward sustained a suspected shoulder injury during the Champions League final against Real Madrid in Kiev last weekend.
"But initial fears that Salah would not recover in time to represent his country in Russia were allayed by the EFA on Wednesday evening."
