Liverpool are expected to return to the negotiating table for Porto winger Christian Atsu.

Atsu, with less than 12 months to run on his current deal, has been open about ambitions of playing in England and is interesting Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers is now expected to step up his bid for the Ghana international after losing out to Borussia Dortmund in the battle for Shakhtar Donetsk star Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Tottenham are also keen on Atsu.
