Liverpool attacker Dirk Kuyt wants fans to not look back in anger.

The Dutchman was on target in last night's Europa League victory over Benfica.

He told liverpoolfc.tv: "Everybody knows what has happened. I think we have had some bad luck a couple of times, many injuries and we also didn't have the form we had last season. If you analyse all these problems, it is difficult to challenge for the title.

"But I am sure this team has a lot of quality and, like I said before, the way we played in the last couple of home games - especially against Lille and Sunderland - was very good. So we are able to show good football and win good games. It's not good to look back - we have to look forward and finish the season well."
