Liverpool attacker Dirk Kuyt says the Carling Cup is not Mickey Mouse.
It is Kuyt's first piece of silverware as a Reds player.
"And I think this trophy has a major importance for the future of Liverpool.
"Everybody has waited a long time for this trophy, myself included, and now we have won one, hopefully it is the first of many to follow.
"The way we won this trophy - by beating Chelsea away, Stoke away, beating Manchester City over two legs - showed we can compete with the best. That is a massive step forward for the club." "People can speak about the Carling Cup as a Mickey Mouse trophy but, for me, it is the most important one. Wembley's now a special place for me for ever. To score in a final and to put away an important penalty is something you remember for the rest of your life.
