Dirk Kuyt is happy he chose to stay with Liverpool last summer after receiving an offer from Inter Milan.
Kuyt, 30, almost joined ex-Reds boss Rafa Benitez at Inter Milan last season but decided to stay put.
He reckons the arrival and impact of Kenny Dalglish has transformed life at the club but is demanding they now battle for a top-four spot this term.
Kuyt said: "I wanted to stay at Liverpool but also wanted to challenge for trophies.
"You want to see the club moving forward and that's exactly what happened after the first half of the season.
"But the least we should aim for now is the Champions League."
