Liverpool attacker Craig Bellamy was delighted with the support he received at Old Trafford for Team GB's draw against Senegal.
Bellamy achieved something he would not have thought possible by being treated to a standing ovation when he left the Old Trafford pitch - after being booed by die-hard Manchester United fans before the start.
He grinned: "That probably won't happen again! I was expecting what Luis Suarez got earlier when he was playing for Uruguay in the first game.
"I was grateful Luis was playing first. I had prepared myself for something similar but, look, Old Trafford is the Theatre of Dreams, I'm a Liverpool fan and Liverpool is my club.
"But it's always an honour to play at Old Trafford - that's coming from a Liverpool fan.
"It is a truly remarkable place to play your football and to come here to represent Great Britain was special."
