Liverpool attacker Craig Bellamy is in the frame to play for Team GB at the London Olympics.

The Daily Mail says the 32-year-old has received a letter asking him to confirm his availability for the Olympic Games.

Whether Bellamy makes Pearce's final squad remains to be seen, with stars such as David Beckham, Ryan Giggs and Joe Cole also possibilities for an over-age place.

The Welsh FA have made it clear they oppose the idea of their players representing Great Britain.

But sources close to Bellamy suggest he would seriously consider playing for GB if selected.
