Liverpool attacker Bellamy considers quitting Wales over coach row

Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy is considering his international future with Wales.

The top players are angry at not being consulted by the FAW over the appointment of a new manager to succeed Gary Speed.

They fear the new boss will break up the system brought in by Speed.

A close source revealed to the Sunday Mirror: “Bellamy was persuaded to carry on because of his respect for Gary.

“But now, if a new manager comes in and changes everything, Craig is likely to walk away.

“Ramsey and Bale were both keen to play in the Olympic team, but they would have pulled out if that had caused any problems for the World Cup campaign which starts just afterwards.

“Now, after what has happened, they are both more determined to play in the Olympics.”
