Liverpool, Arsenal target Clyne angers Palace with awards snub

Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman is facing up to selling star fullback Nathaniel Clyne.

The London Evening Standard says Clyne looks set to leave Crystal Palace after failing to turn up to accept his Player of the Year award.

The no-show was a further sign that the right-back has no plans to extend his contract with Palace beyond his final year next season and will almost certainly be sold this summer.

Former Palace striker Mark Bright, now a BBC London TV reporter, was incensed by Clyne's decision to stay away from the ceremony. He tweeted: "Very disappointed in Nathaniel Clyne. An insult to the players, management and fans, no show for the POTY awards."

The youngster is wanted by a host of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool.
