Liverpool and striker Luis Suarez have both been charged by the Football Association.

Suarez has been charged with improper conduct for an alleged middle finger gesture towards Fulham fans after the Reds' 1-0 loss at Craven Cottage on Monday night whilst the club has been charged for not controlling their players in the wake of Jay Spearing's sending off.

The young midfielder was shown a straight red card for a rash challenge on Moussa Dembele in the 72nd minute with his Liverpool teammates surrounding referee Kevin Friend in protest.

Both Suarez and Liverpool have received the charges and now have until 4pm on Monday, December 12 to respond.
