Villarreal star Joan Capdevila is having difficulty agreeing to a new deal with the club, putting Liverpool on red alert.
The World Cup-winning Spanish left-back is a free agent next summer but wants a fresh two-year contract to remain at El Madrigal.
However, Villarreal are reportedly hesitant to offer anything more than one year and now Capdevila's agent has admitted there is interest from outside parties, although he did not name any clubs.
"There are offers on the table but we're waiting on Villarreal," said Horacio Gaggioli.
"He's happy there but he would also like a contract that reflects his work on the field. We will have further talks in the future."
