Liverpool have reportedly agreed a fee with Reading for Tiago Ilori.
Royals boss Jaap Stam, of Manchester United fame, is keen to strengthen his defence as his side chases the Championship title.
Sky Sports is suggesting that the Reds have accepted a £3.75million fee, plus add-ons, for the 23-year-old England-born Portuguese defender.
It is understood that the transfer now rests with Ilori who has to decide if Reading is the club for him.
Ilori joined Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon in 2013 but has failed to force his way into the first-team, spending time on loan with Granada, Bordeaux and Aston Villa, and has made just three appearances for the Anfield club.
