Liverpool admit Steven Gerrard is yet to undergo surgery on his groin injury.
Gerrard missed their Champions League clash at Lyon this week.
Along with Fernando Torres, Gerrard is also facing an operation on his groin problem, but a spokesman said: "Steven continues to progress after more treatment."
