Liverpool are pushing to land Crystal Palace whizkid Wilfried Zaha.
The London Evening Standard says Liverpool's management have held discussions about the possibility of signing the England Under-21 international during the next transfer window, while City boss Roberto Mancini is also known to admire Zaha.
Liverpool hope the emphasis on youth displayed by manager Brendan Rodgers, who has brought teenagers Raheem Sterling, Suso, Andre Wisdom and Jerome Sinclair into the first team this season, would prove decisive in attempting Zaha to sign.
