Fernando Torres was delighted to get amongst the goals in Liverpool's whitewash of Real Madrid.
Torres, only passed fit to play hours before kick-off, hit the first as Liverpool tore into the Spaniards.
It was a golden moment for the former Atletico Madrid star, who was sporting a protective boot on his damaged right ankle.
He admitted: "It was very important for me to play against Real because of my past with Atletico and pain doesn't matter in games like this one.
"Of course the goal was very important for me, too but more so for the Liverpool fans - it's massive for them."
Steven Gerrard added: "We are very confident after this."
