Liverpool striker Danny Sturridge has revealed how a chat with Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has inspired his form this season.
Sturridge, 24, who cemented his position as the Premier League's top scorer with his eighth of the season against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, said a meeting with the Ivorian in Miami this summer helped him make a storming start the campaign.
"I saw Didier in Miami this summer," he told the Sunday Times. "He said the strongest thing an individual footballer can have is the mental.
"It's not about the tactical, it's not about the technical, it's not about the physical. If you believe in yourself, that will set you apart."
