Liverpool ace Steven Gerrard insists England's youngsters can be world-beaters.

Gerrard is bristling at the criticism coming England's way.

He said: "What's important is that we as a group know what we are good at and what we need to improve.

"There is talent out there and that's a matter of fact. We've also had a few injuries, so we've got those players to come back.

"There is a talent like Jack Wilshere to come back and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will benefit from this experience."
