Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam has shrugged off criticism from Wolves winger Stephen Hunt.
Hunt blasted him last season - accusing Adam of strutting about like he thought he was Pele.
New Kop idol Adam uses the abuse as a motivation to drive him on to become the best he can be.
Adam, 25, said: "That's life, you get criticism.
"If Hunt wants to say that then he can. At least it means he's not talking about somebody else.
"I know how good I am and he must know how good he is. That's how life works.
"When you get stick it's just about reacting to it in the right way."
