Several Academy youngsters worked with Rafa Benitez's senior Liverpool squad last week.

Reds academy chief John Owens told liverpoolfc.tv: "Monday morning saw the likes of David Amoo, Lauri Dalla Valle and Nathan Eccleston head up to Melwood to train with the players and staff there.

"That was a great experience for them and hopefully they will have learned from their session up there."
