Liverpool academy chief John Owens says the club is proud of the professionals they're producing.
He told liverpoolfc.tv: "The main aim is to provide players for the first-team at Liverpool.
"We need to get them to the Reserves and then that's their job to get them to the first-team.
"Last season out of all divisions in England there were 38 players who had been with our youth side. From Michael Owen and Steven Gerrard right through to players with the likes of Accrington - they are all successes in their own right.
"It's a nice feeling to see them go on and make it in some capacity. It's not as great as seeing Stevie and Jamie playing for the first-team, but it is something."
