Liverpool are putting the finishing touches on a deal for Basel winger Mohamed Salah. The Daily Mail says Liverpool are "99 per cent certain" to sign Salah in January, according to a former team-mate.

Egypt international teammate Mohamed Zika said: "Yes, I am 99 per cent sure this will happen.

"He makes us and all of Egypt proud. Everybody talks about Mohamed Salah now - and aside from that he's my friend. I'm very happy for him."
