LIVE FROM ST. PETERSBURG: Brazil manager Tite exclaims team must lose Neymar reliance

Brazil coach Tite has urged his team not to rely on Neymar at the World Cup.

Despite an indifferent output in the match, the PSG superstar scored his country's second deep into stoppage time.

And speaking to reporters after the game, Tite insists his team must learn not to be dependent on the 26-year-old, who is still recovering from a lingering foot injury.

"[Neymar's] individuality shows up if the whole group plays well," Tite told reporters. "You can't put the responsibility of one player's shoulders.

"He is resuming a process. He was three and a half months out and he played the full match. He's a human being. He needs some time to resume his high standard but before he does there's a team that needs to be strong and not dependent on him."
