Germany manager Joachim Low has stated emphatically that his team will progress to the knockout stages.
Die Mannschaft were outplayed during Sunday's surprising loss to Mexico in Moscow and could finish second in Group F, setting up a potential round of 16 clash with Brazil.
When asked if Germany would follow the same fate as three out of the last four World Cup holders by being knocked out in the group stage, Low replied: "We will not suffer that fate, we will make it to the next round.
"In tournaments this (losing a match) can happen and you have to accept it. We will not become reckless. We will continue to look forward. There is no reason to panic. We have three matches and ample opportunities to correct this result."
