Former Juventus coach Marcello Lippi has urged his old club not to sell Gigi Buffon.

The goalkeeper continues to be linked with a move away this summer.

"You should not sell champions when you have them at your disposal," said Lippi.

"I have nothing against Marco Storari, who is an excellent player, but I do hope that Buffon does remain.

"Juventus need him because great players like him are always required."
