Former Italy coach Marcello Lippi has ruled himself out of the running for the Valencia job.

"I don't know where these stories come from as I haven't spoken to anyone at Valencia," Lippi insisted. "I have never said that I would be interested in moving there as at the moment I'm only thinking about spending more time in Italy with my family.

"There will come a time when I'll return to work, but right now I am in no hurry," he concluded.
