Italy coach Marcello Lippi has ruled out a recall for Juventus captain Alessandro del Piero.

"He is playing well, few know him as well as me," said Lippi. "But do not blame me if I do not select him, because right now I prefer to try other players, younger, to see how they go.

"Moreover, as demonstrated by recent results, the mix between older and younger players works."
