Former Italy World Cup coach Marcello Lippi has penned a new deal for Guangzhou Evergrande.
The Azzurri World Cup winning Coach's new deal will keep him with the AFC Champions League winners until November 2017.
"I have renewed my contract," Lippi said to Tuttomercatoweb. "They asked me and that is a good sign that there is good harmony between the club and the staff.
"There is a desire now to make progress in Chinese football and get ourselves in line with the European model.
"Diamanti has settled in well, he has been with his teammates for one week and it seems like a lifetime."
