Former Juventus coach Marcello Lippi is impressed by Roma's summer buying.
Ex-Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko signed for Roma last week.
“Roma have substantially closed the gap with Juventus," Lippi said.
“Just look at their attack: [Edin] Dzeko, [Mohamed] Salah, [Francesco] Totti, [Juan] Iturbe and [Victor] Ibarbo, it's a very strong team.
“But those who have been winning for four years in a row must be deemed the favourites.
“A team that's different is not necessarily weaker. It simply means that the club had the courage and the foresight to plan ahead.
“With a clear vision and the right reinforcements, the Bianconeri are still the favourites, even though the injury to [Sami] Khedira complicated things for them."
