Manchester United star Jesse Lingard is hopeful that Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann would join United next summer.

The French star was expected to join United this summer, but his supposed move fell through after Atletico's transfer ban was upheld by CAS.

However, Lingard's latest comments suggest that United are very likely to reignite their interest in the future.

He said: "The player I'd like to see in Manchester United next season? Antoine Griezmann. I hope it will happen."
