Jesse Lingard believes that the return to full fitness of club captain Wayne Rooney will be a big boost for Manchester United.
Rooney has not played for United since suffering a knee injury back in February 13 and as a boost, the striker is now expected to make a return to full training after the international break.
United have done well even in the absence of Rooney due to the emergence of young Marcus Rashford but Lingard believes that the return of influential skipper Rooney will be a huge positive for the Red Devils.
The 23-year-old said: "He should be back after the international break.
"We have a lot of players coming back. That's a massive boost for the squad."
