Torquay boss Martin Ling believes he has a strong enough squad not to have to rely on short-term loanees. Ling's predecessor Paul Buckle was very active in the loan market last season, but Ling has confirmed he will be reluctant to search for temporary fixes this season.
Ling told the club's official website: "The loan market as used last year will not be used in the same way by me.
"I think we loaned about nine players last season. I've used the loan market before but never with those types of numbers.
"Why not give your own young players a chance? There is some good quality with our youngsters and I won't be panicking into the loan market."
