Anders Lindegaard says he didn't join Manchester United to "pick my nose"!
Old Trafford legend Peter Schmeichel claimed Lindegaard was not good enough for United when his fellow Dane arrived from Aalesund recently.
But Lindegaard is not losing any sleep over that damning assessment and even claims he is not interested in inheriting the No 1 shirt when Edwin van der Sar retires this summer.
Lindegaard said: "I never want to be No 1 because my lucky number is 13 but, unfortunately, Ji-Sung Park has that shirt at the moment.
"But this has been one of the most enjoyable days of my life so far because I have dreamed of representing this football club since I was four years old.
"The best thing for playing for Manchester United is that we always win and even when we were a goal down at half-time, I was always confident we would come back. It was a very nice win and now I have the taste for more. Everyone wants to play for this club and I am no different.
"I'm not here to sit on the bench and pick my nose."
