Lindegaard expresses pride playing for Burnley

Anders Lindegaard has spoken of his pride at playing for Burnley in the Premier League.

Lindegaard has played for bigger clubs in the past, such as Manchester United. But he is grateful for his situation at Burnley.

The keeper had not played a competitive game for almost two years when he came off the bench against Aberdeen in a Europa League qualifier.

He was at a low place when he left Preston North End two years ago, but now he has rediscovered his love for the game.

"It's been a year and a half, it felt fantastic," he i quoted as saying by the Lancashire Telegraph after the game.

"I've had a rough couple of years for various reasons.

"Coming back in was probably not the busiest of nights for a goalkeeper but I'm still proud of playing at the highest level again, it means a lot to me."
