Lindegaard absolves Moyes of Man Utd woes

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard believes manager David Moyes is not the man to blame for the clubs recent on-field issues.

The reigning Premier champions find themselves 11 points off league leaders Arsenal and were also recently dumped out of the FA Cup by Swansea City.

Add to that a Capital One Cup semi-final first leg defeat at Sunderland and there is plenty of negativity surrounding Old Trafford but Lindegaard suggests it is the players who need to take responsibility and not the boss.

"Many players have got a lot of responsibility and would need to get a break," Lindegaard told TV3 Sport.

"But that is not possible at a club like Manchester United. Regardless of who is the coach, this tough time would have come in any case." "I believe that we will get things back on track and United will blossom again.

"I cannot imagine that Manchester United will not be a top club and a top brand in the future."
