Lille midfielder Yohan Cabaye says Arsenal can wait.

"I am 23 and a career is short," Cabaye told Foot Mercato. "I feel like I need a fresh challenge to continue developing and reach the next level.

"Bordeaux's interest is flattering. They are the French champions and the team that played the best football last season.

"I would jump at the chance to move there, but I am not the only one who has to decide."

Of Arsenal's reported interest in his services, he said: "I would rather play for a top French team first."
