Lille have warned Mathieu Debuchy not to act up over his desire to join Newcastle United.

In the face of his complaints, LOSC manager Rudi Garcia says that there is nothing the 28-year-old can do so long as Newcastle do not meet the club's asking price.

He told Nord Éclair: "He doesn't really have the choice. The club has made a decision and he has to deal with it."

Garcia also said he had no worries about Debuchy underperforming if he was forced to stay, since it would jeopardise his place in the French national side: "He also knows he has to be good in the game for his future in the French team. I have no worries about him."
