Lille goalkeeper Mickael Landreau is confident his fellow France international Hugo Lloris will soon become Tottenham number one.
The 25-year old left Lyon to join Spurs in the summer but so far has been reduced to a role on the bench, apart from one Europa League start, with manager Andre Villas-Boas preferring Brad Friedel in goal.
But Landreau knows Lloris well from their time in the Les Bleus squad together and is sure he will become a star in North London.
"In the short term, I can understand the debate, but I do not find it particularly worrying for Hugo," the 33-year old told RTL.
"It will evolve. Already there is the Europa League - so it does not mean he does not play. The Europa League games are quite interesting.
"He continues to play for France, and he was outstanding in the last two matches. His Europa League involvement may just be the start for him."
