Lille will do everything possible to keep Eden Hazard away from Arsenal.
The Daily Star Sunday says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to link Hazard up with former team-mate Gervinho, an £11million capture from the French outfit earlier this month.
Hazard has a contract until the summer of 2015 with Lille - and president Michel Seydoux is adamant he won't let him make the switch to The Emirates.
Wenger was impressed with how the players complimented each other last season as Lille won the Ligue 1 title and French cup. But Lille coach Rudi Garcia says Belgium star Hazard, 20, should stay and develop in France.
He said: "I am not sure he wants to leave anyway. He knows his status here and at a large club there is much more uncertainty."
